Simon Finn was born in 1951 and came to London in 1967. His first performance was three months later, opening for Al Stewart at the Marquee on their Wednesday Folk Night. By the spring of 1969 he had completed a new batch of songs and played them to Vic Keary. Pass the Distance was released on Mushroom Records in 1970 and managed to seep through the decades until its re-release a few years ago. In 1974 he immigrated to Canada where he taught Martial Arts and ran an organic farm for a number of years. In 2004 he went back to playing music full time. Since then he has toured in various cities in Europe, USA and Canada. He played with Thurston Moore, Graham Coxon, Antony and the Johnsons, Current 93, Diz Dizzly, Bert Jansch, Al Stewart and many others.
