An analog sound composition is created live by four radio sets. Every radio has a digital clock which is showing a transformed picture – caused by short circuits. The pulsation of the sound is directly connected with the pulsation of the clocks. The generated minimal sequences depend on the passing time and the electricity which is running through the little machines and the body. This builds the basis for the audible sequences. Andrea Lange uses short cuts from radio signals to remember their original meaning and to have some human voices confronted with the clean artificial waves. The LEDs of the radio clocks are projected at the walls to get an even more physical feeling for the beating sound. Andrea Lange born in Jena (Germany), studied Fine Arts at the University of Fine Arts Berlin by Prof. Rebecca Horn. For her audio-visual installations and performances she is uses different materials and medias, based on the influence of technique in our fragile world. Spaces in never ending motion are created and build a connection to the human transitoriness. Andrea Lange lives and works in Berlin.
